Den Code PM_a038 hat im Fahrzeug das Steuergerät „Pedalüberwachung“ gemeldet. Der Buchstabe „a“ in der Mitte ordnet ihn den Einträgen vom Typ alert zu.
Pedal Monitor — die unabhängige Überwachung von Fahrpedal und Drehmoment. Sie stellt sicher, dass das Fahrzeug nur beschleunigt, wenn der Fahrer es wirklich will. Als Sicherheitsfunktion führen ihre Codes zu Leistungsbegrenzung.
Der häufigste Typ. Das Fahrzeug hat das Ereignis protokolliert und möglicherweise im Display angezeigt. Die Bandbreite ist groß — von einer Kleinigkeit, die von selbst verschwindet, bis zu etwas, das behoben werden muss.
So heißt der Fehler direkt in der Fahrzeug-Firmware. Bei Codes ohne Beschreibung ist das der genaueste vorhandene Anhaltspunkt — der Name selbst sagt, worum es geht.

Schreiben Sie ihn exakt ab, samt Buchstabe und Nummer. Ein Foto vom Display ist am sichersten — Codes unterscheiden sich oft nur in einer Ziffer, und eine Verwechslung führt in die Irre.
Ein Teil der Codes verschwindet nach einem Neustart des Displays oder wenn das Fahrzeug einige Stunden verschlossen steht. Kehrt der Code nicht zurück, war es meist ein einmaliger Aussetzer.
Ein einmaliger Eintrag und ein Code, der nach jeder Fahrt erscheint, sind zwei verschiedene Dinge. Der Werkstatt hilft es sehr, wenn Sie wissen, wann genau er auftritt.
Bei Airbags, Bremsen, Lenkung und Hochvolt lohnt sich kein Abwarten. Bei den übrigen Gruppen kann man beobachten, ob der Code überhaupt wiederkommt.
