Buying your first Tesla? Start the order through a referral link and you get 1,000 km of free Supercharging with a Model 3 or Model Y. It works for new inventory cars too, and the car costs not a cent more — Tesla pays for the reward.
The link opens Tesla’s page with my referral. Pick the configurator or inventory there — the referral attaches itself, nothing to type in.
The program rewards both sides. You as the buyer get 1,000 km of free Supercharging, and the person who referred you gets a reward from Tesla too. Tesla funds all of it — the price, financing and options stay exactly the same.
The kilometres land in your Tesla account after delivery and are spent automatically. You charge at a Supercharger and Tesla deducts the distance from the credit. You can check the balance in the Tesla app under Charging.
It takes seconds, and it happens at the start rather than at the end. That is the one thing people get wrong.

Before you pay the order fee, a referral line appears in the order summary. If it is missing, go back through the link and start again.
After handover the kilometres show up in the Tesla app under Charging. Expect a few days, not minutes.
This is where most of the disappointment comes from, so here it is straight. In Europe the program currently covers only Model 3 and Model Y, and only buyers getting their first Tesla receive the reward.
More useful than percentages: 1,000 km covers roughly Prague to the Adriatic coast, or one to two months of ordinary commuting. In money, at European Supercharger rates, that is around €70–100 depending on where and when you charge.
That means it did not attach. Do not finish the order yet — open the referral link again, walk through the configurator from the start and check the summary. Turning off script blockers and avoiding private windows helps.
Officially a referral cannot be added retroactively. It is still worth contacting Tesla support or your advisor straight away, ideally before delivery — sometimes they fix it by hand, but you have no claim to it.
Give it a few days. The credit is granted with a delay after handover and appears in the Tesla app under Charging. If two weeks pass with nothing, contact support quoting your order number.
